Skillzys®

Think of a Skillzy® as a Boy or Girl Scout merit badge, but for sport.

With a similar size and feel of a typical credit card, Skillzys® are colorful plastic bag tags depicting individual soccer techniques, basic tactical ideas, or positive character traits.  Players earn specific Skillzys® by successfully executing the technique or tactic or by demonstrating the particular trait under the pressures of league or tournament competition.

Skillzys® can be fully customized with team, club, or league logos and colors.  They can feature any terminology clients choose to use.

All Skillzys® are punched with a hole in the upper-left corner of the tag allowing players to easily display earned Skillzys® on their backpacks using our Attachementz™

NEW!  Check out our VisiTrack™ System featuring multiple skills on a single card.

  • Art of Defending

Attackers score goals, defense wins championships.  There is a lot of truth in this old adage.  Solid individual and team defending is an important part of any successful soccer team.  Use the Art of Defending Skillzys® to educate your players on proper defensive concepts and recognize the often unsung defensive heroes on every team when proper techniques and concepts are demonstrated in the heat of a competitive soccer match.

  • Ball Striking

The ability to serve a ball properly is essential if players want to compete at the higher levels of the game.  This skill must be taught early and often in order to build the proper technique and muscle memory; aspects that become difficult to impart later in life once poor technical habits are well ingrained.

  • Build Up Play

Your team has just won possession of the ball.  Now what?  Though this is dependent on a number of factors, each coach/team has it's preferred style of play.  Do you bypass your midfielders with a long ball from the back, or do you look to play through those players?  Do you prefer to try and exploit space up the flanks with speedy wide players, or is a more central, quick-passing attack favored?  Do you look to change the point of the attack in midfield or seek penetrating balls into the forwards' feet?

Whatever your prefered build up style is, coaches can use Skillzys® to help focus players on this important part of the game.

  • Combination Play

Nothing can compare to individual flare and creativity with the ball on a soccer field...nothing, that is, except for pinpoint inter-passing and precise, coordinated movements between teammates that leave defenses confused, exposed, and picking the ball out of their own net.

  • Crossing

Crossing in vitally important in soccer, but an area in which many youth players struggle.  It takes hours of practice to be able to serve a ball accurately from a wide position, and more hours still in order to do this under pressure.

  • Game Rewardz™

  • Goal Scoring

Use Goal Scoring Skillzys® to recognize players' ability to put the ball in the back of the net.

  • Goalkeeping

The goalkeeper, though arguably the most important position on the field, is on that is often over-looked in terms of training and development at the younger age groups.  Moreover, it is many times difficult to find young players who want to play in goal as keepers are rarely recognized when successful technique is demonstrated and many times blamed for goals they allow.

  • Futsal

Custom design your own Futsal Skillzys® to help your players get the most out of their futsal training and competition.

Focus your players on futsal techniques, encourage the practice and attempt of these techniques in futsal league or tournament games, and help transform this technique into real-game skill.

  • Juggling

Not all good jugglers are good soccer players, but all good soccer players are good jugglers.

  • Individual Skills

Use I.T.D.™ Skillzys® to focus players (and PARENTS!) on specific techniques that you will be encouraging your players to attempt to successfully execute in your upcoming league/tournament games.  The players show their skills and earn the Skillzys® that they can then clip onto their soccer backpacks.

  • iSoccer

In partnership with iSoccer and in support of their National Standards Project, Skillzys® is proud to launch the brand new line of iSoccer Skillzys®.

  • Life Skillz™

Youth sports offer terrific environments in which young athletes can be taught the importance of positive character traits.  Moreover, these positive character traits fall under the full control of the athlete, allowing the athlete to succeed in demonstrating mastery of these skills regardless of the final score in any sporting contest.
