Ball juggling in an important part of young soccer players development.

Not all good jugglers are good soccer players, but all good soccer players are good jugglers.  Why practice juggling?  Because...

• juggling helps young players develop a touch and feel for the soccer ball
• juggling allows young players to set and achieve goals (personal juggling records) and promotes good work habits and determination to reach those goals
• juggling helps young players develop balance, coordination, concentration, and quick reactions
• juggling is an activity that young players can practice almost anywhere on their own (in their backyard, at a park, while watching a sibling's soccer game, etc.)

Juggling - Feet Only Skillzys®

With some work, most young soccer athletes can become comfortable using their thighs to juggle the ball.

More skill is needed to keep the ball up in the air using just your feet, and many top coaches around the world prefer that young players focus on this juggling technique as it greatly improves a player's touch and feel for the ball.

Although more challenging when restricted to using only the feet to juggle, we know that great improvements in overall ball control are within a player's reach if this technique is practiced.

Feet only juggling is not easily mastered. Players can work with coaches/parents to set goals and strive towards earning higher-level Skillzys®. Nothing comes without practice!
